Four stars for now based mostly on fit. It’s spring and the ticks are coming out. My dog has worn the vest twice on woods walks. I leave it on for the ride home and do a tick check upon arriving home. I have found a few ticks on her but still think it is better than nothing. The vest fits well but do not expect the collar piece to be as wide as shown on the picture. I thread the collar through it and it’s more like a scrunchie than the wide band of fabric shown in the advertised picture. Jury is still out on how effective it is. Fall hunting when she is really in the brush and grass for extended periods will be a better test of its effectiveness.

The dog vest went on easily, and, although a little fidgety, she quickly became accustomed and moved about freely. It might be a little bit early in the year for ticks, but I didn't see any on her. I especially like the blaze orange color. It really stands out!!

I'm on my way out the door to buy my third Elimitick vest. Like a dummy, I stepped on a buckle and broke it. I used on of these on our last Border Collie for easily 8 years before it was too threadbare from washing to use. I bought a new one for our new BC, as she is a bit smaller. We live in the sticks and are out hiking or hunting several days per week. The vest is always on. Great visibility for the dog, even if she's just playing in the yard. I know that she'll be seen if she strays near the road and I know that she won't be mistaken for a coyote when we're in the woods. Due to just how much we use this vest, I do routinely treat it with permethrin, to aid in tick prevention.
Thank you for making such a great product for my pup! By keeping ticks off of her, I'm also keeping ticks off of my family.
