I have hunted in the outfit and it kept me warm, did not rip crossing old barb wire or thorns. I have not put it through any extremes. Initially I exchanged the jacket for a XL. They really missed the tailoring. wast and shoulders are extremely tight, there is plenty of room in the belly and chest. I am a large and it fit me perfectly but not with clothes underneath. So now I hav a huge jacket XL with pretty much the same amount of space in the shoulders. The wast is tight also it does not flare out at all. Best way to explain the jacket is that I was not tailored for hunting layering. A regular built man 36 hav a gut but never been called fat would need to size up. But remember the chest part will be huge if u do.
Extremely quiet lightweight waterproof/windproof jacket. Perfect for layering under when it's cold, rainy and windy.
Had the chance to wear the Wapiti the other night. Was warm without bulk. Like the pit zips when walking in and out.
Wish it had a slot behind the neck for harness strap to go thru but that’s minor.
So far so good.
Super well made jacket. Elastic draw cord on front edge and back of peaked hood for good adjustment. Waist drawcord, two way zipper with flap of material on inside at top against chin. Flap over front zipper with press studs. Slightly stretchy outer fleece with black mesh liner which doesn’t grab inner layers putting it on. I’m 5ft 10 and 165 lbs and got a large which is going to work with 3 or 4 layers underneath late season deer hunting in Vermont.
